A Beacon of Heritage and Brotherhood in Jacksonville
Nestled in the heart of Jacksonville, Temple Lodge No. 23 stands as a testament to timeless tradition and fraternal excellence. As one of the oldest Masonic lodges in the city (founded in 1893), it has been the nurturing ground for more Grand Masters from Florida than any other lodge, a proud emblem of its enduring legacy and leadership.
The name “Temple Lodge” is steeped in history, deriving from its initial meetings at the iconic Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in downtown Jacksonville. This historic venue, a cornerstone of the community since the early 20th century, provided a fitting backdrop for a lodge that would become a pillar of Masonic values and personal growth. Temple Lodge became too large for the Scottish Rite and ultimately moved to its current home off of Arlington Expressway.
Freemasonry, with its rich tapestry of history, offers more than just fellowship; it is a journey of self-improvement. At Temple Lodge No. 23, members are part of an illustrious lineage that upholds the core principles of Freemasonry: brotherly love, relief, and truth. These guiding tenets foster an environment where men strive to become the best versions of themselves, both within the lodge and in the broader community.
Join us at Temple Masonic Lodge No. 23, where history and personal development converge, creating a unique experience that has enlightened minds and strengthened spirits for generations.
